Read policy before placing your order

Order Policy

All orders should be placed by inquiry form at least 3 weeks in advance.
Inquiry form should be filled out to receive a quote.
Filling out the inquiry form does not guarantee your order. Please allow 24-48 hours after submitting your form to confirm availability.
A 50% retainer fee is required to secure your order date for your custom cake order.
All retainer fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Once your order is confirmed, you will receive an invoice to secure your order date.
Invoice will be sent to the email address provided by the customer on the inquiry form.
Invoice should be paid within 24 hours or invoice will be canceled.
Paying the invoice to secure your order date means you agree to the terms and conditions.
Rush orders may not be accepted. Orders are reviewed and accepted based on availability.
Rush orders are subject to a rush fee. If you are placing an order for an event that is less than a week away, a $30 rush fee will be added. If the order date is in 3 days or less, a $50 rush fee will be added.
All rush orders must be paid in full or order will not be accommodated.
All orders under $200 must be paid in full.
All cupcake and treat orders are to be paid in full.
Remaining balance is due the day of pick up/ delivery via Square POS or cash. Please come with a debit/credit card with sufficient funds if you will be paying via POS or come with exact cash amount in case change can not be made.
Mandy reserves the right to refuse service to any inquiring customer.

Pickup/ Delivery

Caked by Mandy LLC is located in the 11234 area code in Brooklyn, NY.
Address for pick up is given after the initial invoice is paid.
Pickup/ delivery times are from 10am - 6pm on Tuesday- Sunday.
The Caked by Mandy business number is only to be used for contact about pickup and delivery. Please do not use the number to place orders or to make changes to your current order. All communication must be done through email.
When you arrive for pickup please call/message the Caked by Mandy number provided to you stating your first and last name and that you have arrived for pickup.
Customer is to meet Mandy in front of the address given to receive the cake order. Mandy will not approach your vehicle. Mandy will meet customer at the door or at the bottom of the steps.
It is important that you pick up your cake order at the agreed upon pickup time. You can not pick up earlier than your set time unless we notify you that your order is done early and a new time is set for early pickup.
Delivery is not always guaranteed. Delivery is available based on date and time.
Caked by Mandy offers delivery to Brooklyn and Queens areas only! Exceptions will only be made for weddings.
Only orders over $300 are eligible for delivery.
A mandatory delivery and set up fee is required for three and four tier cakes. We do not provide cake stands or any other display items.
Delivery fees are a flat-rate fee determined by the distance from the Caked by Mandy location to delivery address. Any tolls will be added to the delivery fee as well.
All cake orders that are delivered have to be set out 1- 2 hours prior to your event.
Caked by Mandy LLC is not responsible for any damage to the cake after pick up/ delivery is complete. Customer assumes all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves Caked by Mandy’s possession.
Customer is responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment for the cake. Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table, and optimal room temperature of 75 degrees or below.
Caked by Mandy LLC does not ship cakes!
Please follow the Cake Care Instructions given at pick up/ delivery.

Photo Policy

Caked by Mandy LLC reserves the right to use any photographs or videos of your cake for any promotional use without customer’s consent or compensation to customer.
Caked by Mandy LLC will not send “progress” photos or photos of the finished cake prior to pickup/delivery. This prevents customer from wanting any changes to be made (changes can not be made at this point). I am hired to create something amazing for you, please trust me to do so.

Allergies

Caked by Mandy LLC takes all precautions to prevent the risk of cross contamination. Our products may contain allergens such as milk, wheat, nuts, soy, eggs, and gluten. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for allergic reactions or any medical conditions.
Please be sure to list all known allergies when filling out the inquiry form.

Refunds/Cancellation

All sales are final.
In the event of cancellation, retainer fee is non-refundable and will not be issued under any circumstances.
Retainer fee is non-transferable; it can not be used for another cake order for a different date.
Caked by Mandy LLC has every right to cancel your order. If that is to occur, customer will receive a refund of their payment within 24 hours.

Cake Orders

All cakes are made with and covered in buttercream, therefore needs proper refrigeration.
Only one flavor is allowed per cupcake dozen. Two flavors are allowed for pull apart cupcakes.
Price of pull apart cupcakes vary depending on how many cupcakes are needed to make your desired number, letter or shape.
Caked by Mandy LLC does not write on cakes using buttercream.
Caked by Mandy LLC does not freestyle cakes. Please have an idea of your cake design or reference photo.
Reference photos are strictly for inspiration. Cake will not be replicated exactly like the photo, especially if it is not the work of Caked by Mandy.
You acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants.
Any order with fresh florals will be wrapped in floral tape or on a short skewer to keep your food safe.
Cakes with fresh florals should be placed in a refrigerator or a cool place, but NOT the freezer. Flowers may die.
All tiered cakes contain plastic/wooden cake dowels inside the cake to support the height, structure and weight of the cake.
Remove any inedible decorative items such as acrylic/ card stock toppers, as well as support dowels before cutting cake.
Rose gold, silver, gold, colorful foil/metallic finishing spray and disco glitters are non toxic decor.
Caked by Mandy LLC is not responsible for any harm resulting from inedible or non toxic decor pieces. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to advise their recipient that certain decor pieces are inedible/nontoxic.
Exactly a week before your order date is the final date for any changes to your order. Any changes requested after this date can not be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges.
It is important that you are very detailed with your order details.
You acknowledge that it is your sole responsibility to check your invoice to ensure all details are correct. If changes to your order are needed, you acknowledge that it is your sole responsibility to notify Caked by Mandy via email as soon as possible of the changes. You understand that the cake details (flavor, design, size, etc.) stated on your invoice will supersede any verbal or other written communications. In other words, if it is not on your invoice, it will not be on your cake.

Consultations

Consultations are for wedding clients only.
Consultation will be scheduled after your wedding order is confirmed.
During your consultation, we will go over the color scheme, vision of your cake design, flavors, toppers, florals, number of guests, pricing, wedding date and time and delivery/set up!
Cake tastings can be included for an additional price. Cake tastings include 5 cake flavors.
